The Chesham Literary Festival celebrates the power of stories and poetry to connect, inspire, and support our local community.
Through group creative writing activities, we use the written word as a means to bring us all closer – encouraging wellbeing, growth and human interaction.

Mindful Verses is a two hour meditation and poetry writing workshop designed for older adults.
Run by poet and musician Jon Bickley, and clinical psychologist and mindfulness teacher Reinhard Kowalski, these workshops aim to reduce stress, anxiety, and depression by promoting relaxation and mindfulness, while stimulating cognitive functions that help to maintain memory and critical thinking skills through the process of poetry writing. They are also a great place for social interaction with like-minded people.
